Canadian hotel transactions up: A new report from Colliers shows that the hotel transaction volume in Canada rose to US$1.1 billion, a 54% increase over the previous year and 167% higher than 2009. Meanwhile average price-per-room increased to US$108,000, a 30% increase over 2010 and nearly 40% of hotel transaction volume came from cross-border sellers.
