Ascend adds 4 hotels:  Choice Hotels International announced on Thursday that its Ascend Hotel Collection added four U.S. hotels. The hotels include the 86-room St. James Hotel, locacted in New Orleans, the 59-room Napa Winery Inn, located in Napa Valley, California, the 165-room Carmel Mission Inn, located in Carmel, California, and the 45-room Arroyo Pinion Hotel, located in Sedona, Arizona.

Cerberus reportedly looking to shakeup Seibu board:  The Wall Street Journal reported that according to anonymous sources Cerberus Capital Management LP is looking to shake up the board of Seibu Holdings.

Louis Finamore dies:  Longtime hotelier Louis John Finamore, 87, passed away February 22 in Frederick, Maryland. Finamore’s past positions included managing the Hilton Harbour Castle Hotel in Toronto, the Drake Hotel in Chicago, and the Kahala Hilton in Honolulu.

 


South Carolina hotel sold:  CMRE Hotels announced that it assisted with Integrated Capital’s sale of the 202-room The Beach House, a Holiday Inn Resort, located in Hilton Head, to an unnamed buyer.
