Manila, Philippines-based Chroma Hospitality — formerly FilArchipelago Hospitality — announced the creation of its first lifestyle brand, Canvas Hotels & Resorts.
Chroma’s roots date back to 2008, when it was established as a joint venture between Filinvest Development Corp. and Archipelago International. It has a portfolio of four brands — Crimson Hotels & Resorts, Azure Beach Club, Quest Hotels and the new Canvas Hotels & Resorts.
Canvas is aimed at travelers seeking a boutique hotel experience that incorporates inspiring design with unexpected services and technological amenities. Signatures will include digital art pieces, inventive seating areas made for socializing, high-tech room automation, unique events, DIY mojito stations, custom vending machines and an in-house DJ.
The first Canvas will open in Cubao, Philippines, in 2018, with properties in Cebu City and Mactan set to open the following year.
Chroma also announced a new brand strategy, which includes its new name, as well as a new corporate identity.
“Carving a bold identity for ourselves and our partners, we plan to redefine hotel management in the Philippines and beyond,” said Josephine Gotianun-Yap, chairwoman of Chroma Hospitality.
