Motto by Hilton opens in Guadalajara, Mexico

Hilton announces the opening of Motto by Hilton Guadalajara Centro Historico, a 154-room lifestyle hotel in Guadalajara’s historic center. Owned and developed by Grupo Megaterra, the hotel occupies a restored 1950s Art Deco building originally designed by Agustín Acevedo as a residential apartment building.

The property introduces Motto by Hilton’s neighborhood-driven hospitality experience, with cleverly compact rooms, flexible accommodations and locally inspired food and beverage concepts. It is located one block from Plaza Fundadores and within walking distance of Teatro Degollado, Instituto Cultural Cabañas, Guadalajara Cathedral and San Juan Market.

“The opening of Motto by Hilton Guadalajara Centro Historico marks an exciting milestone as our second Motto property in Mexico and reflects our continued focus on expanding Hilton’s lifestyle portfolio in vibrant destinations across the region,” said Maxime Verstraete, vice president, brand management of Caribbean and Latin America, Hilton. “Guadalajara is a city defined by culture, creativity and energy, making it a natural fit for the Motto brand. With this opening, we are offering travelers a new way to experience the city through thoughtfully designed spaces, flexible accommodations and a stay that feels connected to the neighborhood around them.”

Guest rooms feature multifunctional furniture and Hilton’s Confirmed Connecting Room technology. The hotel has 69 connecting rooms, with the option to link up to three rooms at once.

The hotel’s public spaces include two food and beverage concepts. La BienQuerida is a full-service restaurant serving locally inspired food and beverage with a modern take on traditional Mexican cantinas. Doña Elvira is a café serving traditional Mexican breads and artisanal coffees.

Motto by Hilton Guadalajara Centro Histórico is part of Hilton Honors. The hotel joins Hilton’s portfolio of more than 300 hotels currently welcoming guests across the Caribbean and Latin America, including Mexico. Hilton has a pipeline of more than 150 properties in various stages of development across the region.
