Motel One is set to expand in the U.K. with two properties in England and one in Scotland.
Motel One Group, Munich, told BigHospitality that it will open a 140-room property on Princes Street in Edinburgh in 2013 and a 258-room property near Tower Bridge in London in 2014. The company has also partnered with Lugnao Property Group to develop a 222-room property in Newcastle, England.
The budget lifestyle brand has three previously announced properties in its pipeline in Germany, Austria and Scotland. These include the 208-room Motel One Edinburgh-Royal, the Motel One Salzburg-Mirabell and the Motel One Köln-Waidmarkt.
