LONDON Montcalm Hotels is planning its second hotel in the UK capital, a 235-key luxury property on Chiswell Street in the unfinished building formerly owned by the bankrupt developer GuestInvest.
The Montcalm London City Hotel, expected to open in June, will target business travelers and conference delegates attending events at the popular adjacent facility known as The Brewery. The hotel and The Brewery are expected to complement one another, with the hotel providing four additional meeting spaces to The Brewery’s existing eight.
Montcalm is in the process of finishing construction and design of the hotel, with the goal of offering boutique design while maintaining “heritage values.”
“The Chiswell Street location and relationship with The Brewery will no doubt attract a large number of business travelers and conference delegates looking for luxury accommodation in the heart of the city,” Montcalm says in a statement. “The hotel will reflect the same exceptional design, advanced technology and person service as our Marble Arch-based hotel.”
