Marriott signs 1st China online travel agent deal

CHINA Marriott International has signed its first deal with an online travel agency based in China, solidifying a distribution cooperation agreement with Ctrip.com, China’s largest OTA.

The deal leverages Ctrip’s cutting-edge hotel reservation platform to sell hotel inventory across Marriott brands and affiliated hotels to travelers in China. Under the terms of the agreement, the reservation systems of both Marriott International and Ctrip will establish direct global connectivity.

Financial terms and length of the deal were not disclosed.
