RANGALI ISLANDS, MALDIVES The Ithaa restaurant at Conrad Maldives Resort & Spa normally features a “reverse-aquarium” room that seats about a dozen guests. In honor of the hotel’s fifth anniversary, however, that room has been converted into an undersea honeymoon suite.
The glass-domed room submerged in the Indian Ocean must be reserved two weeks in advance, and the property is not disclosing nightly rates for the special suite. The most expensive publicly available room at the resort, a kind deluxe water villa, goes for US$1,725 per night.
