Major hotel company to phase out guestroom porn

SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA A major hotel company is planning to phase out pornography from its guestroom entertainment options by 2013, according to an analyst who tracks hotel entertainment vendor LodgeNet Interactive Corp.

Frank McEvoy, a senior research analyst with Craig-Hallum Capital Group, reports that the hotel group—which is not identified but is described as one of LodgeNet’s biggest customers—is banning adult on-demand movie offerings in new properties and will phase out pornography entirely by 2013, as its existing agreements with LodgeNet expire.

Without expressly confirming the report, LodgeNet has issued a statement saying that the development will not have a material impact on its economic performance this year or next, and that the relationship between LodgeNet and the company in question remains “good.”
