PROVO, UTAH The 330-key Provo Marriott Hotel & Conference Center has been sold to local investors for an undisclosed price.
The 9-story hotel, which opened in 1983 as the Utah city’s first high-rise building, has been acquired by PMH LLC from Sunstone Hotel Investors Inc. It had been operating as a Marriott-franchised property under the management of Interstate Hotels & Resorts, but PMH will transfer management rights to Marriott International.
A renovation is planned for completion in time for the scheduled opening of the property’s conference center next year. The renovation will focus on updating the hotel’s guestrooms and public areas, including adding the Marriott brand’s trademark Great Room.
