LEVA Hotels expands Zimbabwe footprint with fourth signed project

Dubai-based LEVA Hotels has signed a management agreement with Radar Properties for a greenfield four-star hotel in Kings City, a 2,100-hectare mixed-use development located 8 km from Bulawayo’s Central Business District along Gwanda Road. The deal marks the brand’s fourth signed project in Zimbabwe.

The new property is intended to address growing demand from business and leisure travelers seeking internationally branded lifestyle accommodations. The hotel will comprise 120 keys, a restaurant, a fitness center, a spa and a conference hall. Kings City is a $1 billion development positioned as a next-generation urban and economic hub for Bulawayo, Zimbabwe’s second-largest city and a key industrial and commercial center.

Bulawayo serves as a gateway to major tourism destinations, including Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park and Matobo Hills. The city also hosts large-scale events such as the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair.

“Following our recent entry into Harare, this greenfield project in Bulawayo marks an important step in our Southern African expansion,” said JS Anand, founder and CEO of LEVA Hotels. “This project is not just about adding another hotel. It’s about being part of a destination that is evolving. Kings City creates the right ecosystem, and for us, it’s about entering at the right time with the right product.”

“Kings City is designed to be a modern economic hub that redefines the urban landscape of Bulawayo. Partnering with a forward-thinking brand like LEVA Hotels ensures that our hospitality offering aligns with the broader vision we have for this $1 billion multi-use development,” said Walter Zimunya, managing director of Radar Properties. “We look forward to creating a landmark lifestyle destination for both residents and visitors.”

The agreement supports LEVA Hotels’ broader strategy to grow through partnerships in high-growth African and emerging markets.
