Leonardo Hotel Group has opened The Manor Amsterdam, a Leonardo Limited Edition property and the group’s ninth hotel in Amsterdam. Located in Amsterdam Oost, the hotel occupies a 19th-century building originally constructed in 1891 as one of the Netherlands’ most advanced civilian hospitals.
The building was designed by architect A.L. van Gendt, also credited with the Concertgebouw. It later served as a district office for marriage ceremonies before being restored and converted into a hotel. The renovation preserved original features, including restored staircases, while incorporating a contemporary design approach.
The property offers 125 guest rooms across five categories: Superior King, Superior Twin, Family Room, Triple and Junior Suite. Rooms include soft cotton bedding, walk-in showers with amenities from Jean & Len, and a welcome tray with tea, coffee capsules, sugar and milk.

At the center of the hotel is Pepe Nero, an Italian restaurant and bar operated by Daniele Lauritano. The restaurant opened to the public April 3 for dinner service. The menu includes antipasti such as crispy octopus and burrata, primi including risotto cacio e pepe and truffle tagliolini, and secondi such as slow-braised veal cheek and aubergine parmigiana. Desserts include tiramisù and affogato with chocolate crumble.
Breakfast is available to hotel guests and outside visitors for £25, covering a signature breakfast, freshly baked breads and pastries, cheese and cold cuts, cereals, muesli and granola, hot breakfast items, fresh fruit and dairy and beverages including tea, coffee, juices and infused water. A 24/7 self-service market offering snacks, coffee and wine is also available to guests throughout the day.
Hotel amenities include a fully equipped gym, meeting rooms, guest parking, room service and a 24-hour front desk. On-site parking is available for EUR 37.50 per night. Room rates start from £163 per night.
“With this opening, following the successful integration of Eden Hotels in 2024, we are proud to continue strengthening Leonardo Hotel Group’s presence in the Benelux while remaining ambitious about future growth opportunities and strategic partnerships both within and beyond the region,” said Alexander Kluit, managing director of Leonardo Hotels Benelux.
The Manor Amsterdam is part of Leonardo Hotel Group’s broader portfolio, which includes more than 300 hotels across Europe and 52,000 rooms globally. In the Benelux region, the group operates 28 hotels — 26 in the Netherlands and two in Belgium — under brands including Leonardo Boutique Hotels, Leonardo Royal Hotels, NYX lifestyle hotels, all-inclusive resorts and the Leonardo Limited Edition collection.
