Kimpton Virgilio, the boutique luxury hotel located in Mexico City’s Polanco neighborhood, has appointed Alejandro Gallegos as general manager.
With more than three decades of international hospitality experience, Gallegos has led urban and resort properties across Mexico, Argentina and Uruguay, with a background spanning hotel openings, repositionings and operational leadership. Gallegos will take on an expanded leadership role supporting the upcoming launch of Kimpton Castelar, also in the Polanco neighborhood, further reinforcing the brand’s growth in the market.

Most recently, Gallegos served as general manager of Hotel Alexander in Mexico City, where he led the launch of the luxury property. Before that, he held leadership roles with Sofitel Montevideo Casino Carrasco & Spa in Uruguay and Grace Cafayate in Argentina.
