JW Marriott Marquis Miami to feature basketball arena, lifestyle complex

MIAMI An NBA-approved basketball arena is just one of the components of the 50,000-sq.-ft. sports, lifestyle and entertainment complex available that will debut with the October opening of the world’s first JW Marriott Marquis in Miami.

The two-story indoor facility will feature a 10,000-sq.-ft. basketball arena, a full-size tennis court, a Jim McLean Golf School, a Rik Rak Spa & Salon, a virtual bowling alley, a Met 2 Fitness and more. Extended across the hotel’s 19th floor is an arsenal of sports options and a high-tech 3D media room, along with a fashionably furnished pool deck. The basketball arena is equipped with a multi-use portable floor system that can be transformed into a tennis court or a carpeted event space.

“The multiplex entertainment facility spans the hotel’s 19th and 20th floors and was created as part of our mission to cater to the individual preferences of each guest,” says GM Florencia Tabeni. “As a first-to-market brand, and the most exclusive of its kind, the JW Marriott Marquis Miami is able to further our guest’s expectations of what a world-class hotel should offer.”

Also sharing these world-class amenities are guests of the 44-key Hotel Beaux Arts Miami, an art-infused urban retreat located directly above JW Marriot Marquis Miami.

Located in downtown Miami’s new Metropolitan Miami development, dubbed “The Met,” JW Marriott Marquis Miami offers a vibrant, urban destination in a diverse setting of business, meeting and pleasure travel pursuits. The 41-floor hotel will feature the area’s largest ballroom, as well as Miami’s first DB Bistro Moderne, a French/American restaurant by acclaimed Chef Daniel Boulud.

JW Marriott Marquis Miami is scheduled to open October and Hotel Beaux Arts Miami is slated to debut in November.
