Jumeirah to operate luxury resort on Anguilla

ANGUILLA Jumeirah has signed a management deal with Conch Bay Development Ltd. to operate a luxury resort hotel and residences on the island of Anguilla in the British West Indies.

The 140-key Jumeirah Anguilla Resort will include a spa, conference facilities and beach clubs, as well as 460 residential units that will also be managed by Jumeirah. The resort is expected to open by 2014.

Golf legend Jack Nicklaus is creating a signature championship 18-hole course that will run along a stretch of oceanfront property, with several holes playing to or along the water. The course will offer views across the sea to the peaks of St. Maarten.

Development of the project will be coordinated by PN Holdings LLC, an entity formed by companies affiliated with Robert A. Petrallia and Nicklaus.

Anguilla is a British overseas territory in the Caribbean, one of the most northerly of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles. Anguilla covers 91 sq. km and has a population of about 13,500.
