SHANGHAI JAL Hotels Co. Ltd. announces the opening of the 382-key, 25-story Hotel Nikko Shanghai, located in the Hongqiao Development Zone. The 5-star hotel is part of Manpo International Plaza, a new commercial real estate complex.
Hotel Nikko Shanghai offers luxury rooms and suites with deluxe marble bathrooms, iPod docking stations, 600-thread count sheets and flat-screen televisions. Designed by Daguan Design and the Canada P&H International Architecture Office, the hotel combines Oriental and Western influences.
The on-site spa, operated by Banyan Tree, offers sensory treatments inspired by traditional Asian healing therapies.
The complimentary business center has staff trained in organizing meetings in the hotel’s on-site conference facilities, which include a 4,400-sq.-ft. banquet room and seven additional meeting rooms.
The hotel’s five restaurants and bars include Benkay Japanese Restaurant; Serena Café, offering Asian and Western-style foods; Jinge Chinese Restaurant with authentic Cantonese cuisine; the Lobby Lounge; and the Blue Bar.
