InterContinental David Tel Aviv has appointed Ilya Borgakov as general manager, who has over 20 years of hospitality experience at the property.
Borgakov began his hospitality career at the property as a waiter in the food & beverage department. Over more than two decades, he progressed through various operational, sales and leadership roles, ultimately becoming the hotel’s general manager.
“Stepping into the role of general manager at InterContinental David Tel Aviv is a particularly meaningful milestone in my career, and I’m incredibly honored to lead this remarkable property,” said Borgakov. “This property has been the heart of my professional journey for more than 20 years, and I’ve had the privilege of watching the hotel grow and evolve over the years, which makes this opportunity incredibly special. InterContinental David Tel Aviv features 555 guestrooms and suites and is located on Tel Aviv’s beachfront promenade, near the Neve Tzedek and Old Jaffa neighborhoods and the Carmel Market.
