India’s Lemon Tree Hotels plans 7 more properties

NEW DELHI Lemon Tree Hotels today has launched its 13th upscale business hotel and second in Gurgaon, with plans to open seven more in India by next year.

Lemon Tree, which owns and operates 13 hotels and more than 1,200 guestrooms, expects to more than double its inventory by the end of 2012. Projects are under way in Hyderabad, New Delhi, Pune and elsewhere.

“Our profitable growth has been driven by an end-to-end business model, which has led to a 60% year-on-year growth in rooms over the past five years,” Managing Director Patu Keswani tells One India News. “At Lemon Tree, we design, build, own and operate all our hotels.”

Lemon Tree offers value for money to business and leisure travelers through its upscale, full service, moderately priced hotels. Along with the Lemon Tree brand, the company also operates the economy Red Fox brand.
