Crowne Plaza by IHG announced the opening of Crowne Plaza Manhattan Times Square, its new Americas flagship property. The hotel is located steps from Times Square, Rockefeller Center, the Broadway Theater District and Central Park.
Developed by Al Rayyan Tourism Investment Company (ARTIC) and managed by Highgate, the 22-story hotel brings new life to a New York landmark originally constructed for the 1964 New York World’s Fair. The property offers 685 city-view guestrooms, spaces designed to support work, connection and relaxation, and a new bar and restaurant. Locally inspired artwork and large-scale murals by Brazilian-born, Atlanta-based artist Tiago Magro are featured throughout the property.
At the center of the hotel is Fifty-First Street Social, a bar and all-day dining destination. A 24/7 Marketplace offers grab-and-go options and travel essentials. Signature programming includes Weekly Socials, which unite travelers and locals through food-and-beverage offerings inspired by the destination, and Daily Rituals, featuring morning and evening wellness and sleep-enhancing offerings.
The hotel offers flexible meeting and event spaces along with The Studio, a setting for focused collaboration near the lobby, supported by a dedicated Meetings & Events Concierge service. The Manhattan Level, located on the upper floors, features expansive suites and guestrooms with skyline views. The Broadway Suite, an exclusive penthouse retreat on the 22nd floor, includes an expansive terrace.
