IHG Hotels & Resorts and Can Gio Tourist City Corporation announce a partnership to develop four hotels with more than 1,000 rooms at Vinhomes Green Paradise Can Gio in Ho Chi Minh City. Vinpearl, a member of Vingroup, will manage and execute the collaboration with IHG.
The four properties are InterContinental Saigon Can Gio (400 rooms), Crowne Plaza Saigon Can Gio (400 rooms), Holiday Inn Express Saigon Can Gio (130 rooms) and Garner Hotel Saigon Can Gio (130 rooms). Holiday Inn Express and Garner will make their Vietnam market debuts through this agreement. Holiday Inn Express and Garner are expected to begin operations in 2028, with InterContinental and Crowne Plaza following in 2030.
The four IHG properties will contribute to a 7,000-room accommodation ecosystem at Vinhomes Green Paradise Can Gio. The sea borders the 2,870-hectare coastal development on three sides, and it lies adjacent to the UNESCO-recognized Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve. A planned high-speed railway will connect the site to central Ho Chi Minh City in 13 minutes.
“This agreement marks the beginning of a strategic partnership between IHG and Vingroup, one of Vietnam’s leading private conglomerates,” said Rajit Sukumaran, senior vice president and managing director of East Asia & Pacific, IHG Hotels & Resorts. “Bringing four of IHG’s renowned brands to Vinhomes Green Paradise Can Gio reflects the breadth of our portfolio and underscores our strong commitment to supporting Vietnam’s ambition to become a leading global tourism destination. With brands spanning multiple segments, we are confident this partnership will deliver an integrated hospitality ecosystem that meets the diverse needs of travelers at one of the largest developments in Vietnam today.”
“We selected IHG not only for its global brand portfolio but also for its proven operational excellence across international markets,” said Huong Ngo, CEO of Vinpearl. “The introduction of InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn Express, and Garner to Vinhomes Green Paradise Can Gio is a key step in completing our service structure and establishing international operating standards for the development’s hotel system. We believe that, on the foundation of this partnership, Vinhomes Green Paradise will gradually evolve into a world-class destination—where a fully integrated ecosystem enhances its appeal to residents and both domestic and international visitors.”
IHG currently operates 23 hotels in Vietnam with a pipeline of 20 additional properties across the country.
