Hyatt Regency Chicago announced the completion of a multi-year, $200-million phased renovation covering all 2,032 guest rooms and suites, the Regency and Crystal Ballrooms and the Grand Ballroom. The project marks the final phase of more than $368 million in total investment at the property since 2013.
The three-phase renovation proceeded as follows: Phase 1, completed in 2023, renovated all West Tower guest rooms and suites. Phase 2, completed in 2024, modernized the Regency and Crystal Ballrooms and completed the East Tower accommodations. Phase 3, the final phase, focused on the Grand Ballroom.
The Grand Ballroom’s foyer spans nearly 7,000 square feet and includes built-in registration desks, digital screens and a digital feature wall. The 24,000-square-foot Grand Ballroom now features customizable LED ceiling panels, modernized finishes and renovated breakout spaces. The Crystal Ballroom includes a private outdoor terrace.
“We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone and debut the reimagined Hyatt Regency Chicago,” said Mark Wagner, general manager. “As the largest hotel in Chicago, operating in one of the most dynamic meeting markets in the country, this $200 million transformation reinforces our commitment to delivering exceptional spaces for today’s attendees.
