Inn at the Presidio, the first hotel in San Francisco’s Presidio — once one of the oldest U.S. military posts and now an urban national park — is scheduled to open next month.
Located in Pershing Hall, previously the post’s bachelor officers’ quarters, the Inn will feature 22 guestrooms. Classic King suites offer a sofa bed in a separate sitting room while Forest View rooms face the park landscape. Many rooms also boast views of the Golden Gate Bridge.
The interior design, by BraytonHughes Design Studio, San Francisco and London, aims to celebrate the Presidio’s past with artisan details and memorabilia. Simple stripes, natural leather, wool and linen are predominant, while historic photos pair with contemporary regional art that exemplifies the park experience.
Other amenities include a front porch with rocking chairs, a landscaped terrace with fire pit and a guest lounge with dining room.
San Mateo, California-based Waterford Hotels and Inns will manage the hotel on behalf of the Presidio Trust, the federal executive agency that manages the Presidio.
