Hot Openings: Hilton brings suites to Makkah

Hilton Worldwide opened the first tower of Hilton Suites Makkah earlier this month in Saudi Arabia.

The contemporary 480-key hotel will have two towers overlooking the Kaaba and the Holy Haram. It is Hilton’s fifth property in the country.

“Hilton has a well-recognized presence in Makkah as well as the region, and with the opening of Hilton Suites Makkah we aim to continue delivering the Arabian hospitality and comfort to meet our guests’ needs and ease their hardship during their spiritual journey,” says GM Ismail Sirry.

Guestrooms have a color scheme based on the five prayer times throughout the day and large work areas. Some rooms are accessible, with amenities such as roll-in showers and hand rails.

AlQandeel Restaurant features buffet-style service and can seat 302 guests, while The Orchid serves Asian fare including noodles and sections devoted to Japanese and Malay cuisine. AlKhalil Cafe offers coffee (and buffet meal service during Ramadan and Hajj), and AlKawkab Cafe serves light snacks. Guests can also relax at Al-Falak lounge.

Additional amenities include 24-hour business and fitness centers, parking, meeting space, and an onsite medical clinic.
