Dream Downtown, a US$270 million renovation from Vikram Chatwal, situated in New York City between the Meatpacking District and Chelsea neighborhood, is the latest hot Gotham offering for hotel guests looking for a new lifestyle experience and locals seeking a hot F&B scene. The lobby-level restaurant and rooftop lounge are operated by Strategic Hospitality and Chef Dr. Miguel Sanchez Romera, the team behind hot spots Marquee Las Vegas, Avenue, Lavo and Tao.
A total of 316 expansive loft-inspired guestrooms, including 16 suites – seven of which are pool terrace suites with direct access to the second-floor pool and beach club cabanas – and 2 duplex suites with outdoor hot tubs, come complete with plush bedding and hi-tech amenities.
The iconic Albert Ledner façade houses Chatwal’s trademark combination of cosmopolitan glamour and whimsical design created by Frank Fusaro of Handel Architects.
The brand recently entered into an agreement with Wyndham Hotel Group, in which Wyndham gained exclusive rights to franchise and manage the Dream brand globally.
