Homewood Suites opens 300th hotel, in Texas

ROUND ROCK, TEXAS Homewood Suites by Hilton announces the opening of its 300th North America property in the Austin suburb of Round Rock. The four-story, 115-suite hotel is owned by VHRMR Round Rock Ltd. and managed by Vista Host Inc.

General Manager Jason Webb has been in the hotel industry for six years, and is supported by Director of Sales Dawn Spitzig, who has 17 years of local experience.

“As the Round Rock area continues to expand with more corporate, leisure and sports business, we feel we’re well positioned as a beautiful, upscale, extended-stay option for guests wanting to stay a few nights or more,” Webb says. “Travelers are not only looking for high quality, but a true bundled value offering as well.  We offer that with standard amenities such as fully-equipped kitchens, complimentary high-speed Internet access and separate living and sleeping areas in all of our suites.”

Homewood Suites by Hilton Austin / Round Rock offers studio, one- and two-bedroom suites tastefully appointed with classic Texas photography, bold carpets and fabrics that bring the Texas influence into the 21st century. A granite-topped community table featuring a unique centerpiece of crystal rock art by local artist Lisa Barkley anchors the lodge area, where decorative old iron lighting fixtures add a subtle glow to the rich textural furnishings. The hotel offers an outdoor pool, an oversized fitness center, sports court and nearby golf courses and jogging paths. Additional features include a 24-hour executive business center and approximately 840 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space.

Launched in 1989, the Homewood Suites by Hilton brand today has 300 hotels open with approximately 100 in the development pipeline. Beyond its spacious suites and homelike amenities, additional guest features include an onsite Suite Shop convenience store, complimentary grocery shopping services, a complete business center and laundry services at most locations.
