Hodges Bay Resort & Spa, a luxury boutique hotel on the northern tip of Antigua and part of the HQ Collection by sbe, has welcomed Christopher Eastmond as its new general manager.
With more than 20 years in hospitality, Eastmond brings extensive experience leading and repositioning resorts throughout the Caribbean, including leadership roles at Belle Mont Farm at Kittitian Hill in St. Kitts & Nevis, Canouan Estate Resort & Villas and Bequia Beach Hotel in St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Curtain Bluff in Antigua and most recently at O2 Beach Club & Spa in Barbados.
Beginning his career in the United Kingdom, he was recruited as a corporate management trainee for Hilton UK, where he gained experience across five properties in various positions. He later spent his final five years working at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London before bringing his skills and experience in British hospitality to the Caribbean.
Now overseeing operations at Hodges Bay Resort & Spa, Eastmond will help lead the renovations currently underway across the property, including upgraded rooms and suites, enhanced amenities and programming and updates to the resort’s dining outlets. He will also oversee the upcoming debut of Katsuya Beach, the Caribbean’s first outpost of the Katsuya brand from Chef Katsuya Uechi.
