ORLANDO Tishman Hotel & Realty LP has sold its 814-key Hilton Walt Disney World Resort, which it has owned for nearly 30 years, to Hilton Worldwide.
The sale price was US$127.2 million, or about US$156,000 per key, Orlando Sentinel reports. The transaction closed August 26 and involves only the building itself.
“During our nearly 30-year ownership of the hotel, the Hilton posted strong returns and consistently outperformed its competitors,” Tishman says in a statement. “We maintain a strong presence in the Orlando hospitality market and continue to own the Walt Disney World Swan and the Walt Disney World Dolphin.”
