Hilton has announced the appointment of Sean Clancy as general manager of Hilton San Diego Bayfront. Bringing more than three decades of hospitality leadership experience, Clancy joins Hilton San Diego Bayfront from Sheraton San Diego, part of Peregrine Hospitality, where he served as vice president and general manager and oversaw its repositioning following a $127 million renovation.
“Sean is an accomplished hospitality executive whose leadership style, operational expertise and deep understanding of the San Diego market make him an outstanding fit for Hilton San Diego Bayfront,” said Harold Rapoza, area vice president, operations, Hilton. “His extensive experience leading complex resort operations, combined with his commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering strong team cultures, will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen the hotel’s position as one of Southern California’s leading hospitality destinations.”
Throughout his professional tenure, Clancy has held senior leadership roles across luxury hotels in Miami Beach, Philadelphia and most recently San Diego. Earlier in his career, Clancy spent eight years with Hilton, serving in leadership positions at the Arizona Biltmore and Boca Raton Resort & Club while both were branded Waldorf Astoria resorts.

Clancy is also an active member of the San Diego community, having served on the boards of several local organizations, including the San Diego Working Waterfront, the San Diego County Lodging Association and the Coronado Schools Foundation.
