Hilton returns to Mumbai with airport hotel

MUMBAI Hilton Worldwide has opened its third hotel in India, returning to Mumbai with the 171-key Hilton Mumbai International Airport.

“We’re excited to continue our global expansion and open our second Hilton Hotels & Resorts property in India’s business and entertainment capital,” says Dave Horton, global head of the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand. “We are ranked among the top five international hotel brands in India, and we’re thrilled to bring our authentic hospitality and premium products and services to travelers in India with the opening of the Hilton Mumbai International Airport.”

The hotel’s architecture blends colonial design with contemporary features, reflecting a European elegance with the ambiance of a stately home. Located about five minutes from the airport, this conversion property is designed along the lines of a 19th-century summer palace.

“Hilton Mumbai International Airport marks our entry into one of the country’s largest and most vibrant cosmopolitan cities,” said Neeraj Chadha, India regional general manager for Hilton Worldwide. “As we grow our portfolio, we will bring our award-winning, upscale, quality accommodations and services to more domestic and international travelers from the business and leisure segments in India.”

The hotel offers several dining options. The Brasserie, an all-day dining restaurant which overlooks the pool, serves a buffet of exotic cuisines from Asia, Europe and the Mediterranean. Indulge in authentic Chinese cuisine accompanied by the finest wines and liqueurs at Imperial China. With cascading, shimmering Austrian crystal chandeliers and rich draperies, the Executive Lounge, located at the lobby level, allows guests to unwind to live music. Alternatively, soak up the colonial charm of the Lounge Bar while enjoying the finest of single malts, cognacs, wines and the hotel’s signature cocktails.

Hilton Mumbai International Airport is equipped with 7,696 sq. ft. of function space, a 2,420-sq.-ft. ballroom and five stately halls exuding European ambience.

The new property joins Hilton New Delhi Janakpuri and Hilton Garden Inn New Delhi Saket.
