Conrad Nagoya in Japan has opened, a partnership between Hilton and Mitsubishi Estate Co. The opening adds to the brand’s now global portfolio of 51 hotels across five continents.
Nagoya is Japan’s fourth-most populous city and a major industrial hub located in the central Aichi Prefecture. It is known as the center of Japan’s automotive and manufacturing sectors, including Toyota.
The 170-room property is located atop The Landmark Nagoya Sakae, the tallest skyscraper in the Sakae district, and is directly connected to Sakae Station. The hotel includes 29 suites, each spanning more than 50 square meters, and features six restaurants and bars spread across the 31st and 40th floors. The signature Conrad Suite, on the 40th floor, spans 213 square meters.
Dining venues include SUNDROP, the lobby lounge and bar; CASA OLIVA, an Italian restaurant with more than 100 wine labels; SONGBIRD, a coffee and pastry outlet; SORYU, a sushi kaiseki restaurant; SOEN, a teppan kaiseki restaurant; and HOUSE OF MON, a rooftop bar. Wellness facilities include Conrad Spa with four treatment rooms, an indoor pool, a sauna, and a 24-hour fitness center. The meeting space spans the 10th and 11th floors, including a 342-square-meter Grand Ballroom.
“Conrad is a brand defined by curiosity, confidence and a deep connection to place, and Nagoya is a compelling expression of that point of view,” said Dino Michael, SVP and category head of Hilton luxury brands. “The city brings together extraordinary craftsmanship, culinary culture and contemporary energy, creating exactly the kind of destination where Conrad can offer something distinctive and relevant to today’s luxury traveler. As the portfolio grows, properties like Conrad Nagoya strengthen the brand by adding new layers of character, culture and discovery while remaining unmistakably Conrad.”
