The 180rom Canopy Deer Valley has opened, marking the brand’s first hotel in Utah. The hotel was developed by Extell Development Company.
The hotel is located at the base of Deer Valley Resort’s East Village expansion and is among the first hotels to open there. It offers access to the Jordanelle Express Gondola, public spaces and four food and beverage concepts. As part of the Hilton portfolio, the hotel provides guests with access to Hilton Honors.
Interiors were designed by DLR Group | BraytonHughes, drawing from Park City’s mining history and the natural character of Deer Valley. The 180 guestrooms incorporate natural materials and custom furnishings, including headboards that reference outdoor gear and rugs inspired by ski tracks. Large windows frame views of Deer Valley Resort and the Jordanelle Reservoir.

The culinary program is led by Executive Chef Scott Rackliff, whose resume includes stints at Eleven Madison Park and Dinex Group in New York City. The four dining concepts are Tavolona, an Italian trattoria; Fornetto, a lounge with antipasti, cicchetti, pizza and cocktails; Mountain Provisions, a café with local coffee and grab-and-go fare; and Alpine Attic, a rooftop lounge.
“The opening of Canopy Deer Valley represents an exciting new chapter not only for our hotel, but for Deer Valley East Village as it continues to welcome visitors from around the world,” said Andrew Carey, general manager of Canopy Deer Valley. “We’ve created a place that reflects the character and energy of this highly anticipated destination, from thoughtfully designed guestrooms and locally inspired dining experiences to meaningful partnerships with local artisans and businesses.”
“Canopy Deer Valley marks our Utah and ski resort debut, and it continues to build upon the brand’s promise of making guests feel at home in the world,” said Alexandra Coleman, vice president and global brand leader, Canopy Hotels.
