Hilton moves stock listing to Nasdaq

Hilton announced plans to transfer the listing of its common stock from the New York Stock Exchange to Nasdaq.

Hilton expects its common stock to begin trading on Nasdaq at market open on Nov. 5, 2026. The ticker symbol will remain HLT. Shares will continue to trade on the New York Stock Exchange until market close on Nov. 4, 2026. No action is required by shareholders. The transfer does not alter Hilton’s business strategy, capital allocation priorities or commitment to guests, owners, team members and shareholders.

“Fueled by our asset-light business model, best-in-class brands, award-winning culture and leading commercial and technology platforms, Hilton continues to define what’s next in travel. We have built brands and technologies guests love, owners prefer and a business that continues to create long-term value for all our stakeholders while staying true to our purpose as a business of people serving people,” said Chris Nassetta, president and chief executive officer of Hilton. “Nasdaq is closely aligned with our growth ambitions, and we look forward to joining a marketplace that is highly respected as the home of many of the world’s most innovative companies.”

Since returning to the public markets in 2013, Hilton has grown from 10 brands and approximately 4,100 hotels in 90 countries and territories to 28 brands and more than 9,400 properties across 144 countries and territories. The company’s luxury and lifestyle portfolio grew from approximately 50 to 1,200 hotels. Hilton Honors has more than 260 million members.

Hilton recently announced the appointment of a new chief technology officer.

“Hilton is one of the world’s most recognized and respected hospitality brands, with a long history of delivering exceptional experiences for travelers around the globe,” said Adena Friedman, chair and chief executive officer of Nasdaq. “We are proud to welcome Hilton to Nasdaq and look forward to supporting the company as it builds on its legacy and enters a new chapter.”

Nassetta added, “We are deeply grateful to the New York Stock Exchange for its longstanding partnership and the important role it has played in our public-company journey.”
