Hilton Madison Monona Terrace adds new GM

Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a hotel owner and management company and division of Marcus Corporation, has appointed Matt Karow as general manager of Hilton Madison Monona Terrace in Madison, Wis. Karow brings over two decades of hospitality experience to his new role as he oversees operations at the 240-room hotel, which is connected to the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center.
“Matt’s strong management background, commitment to team development and proven track record in providing the extraordinary level of hospitality and service we deliver for our guests every day makes him an excellent addition to our team,” said Michael Evans, president of Marcus Hotels & Resorts. “With years of leadership experience at properties across the U.S., Matt brings valuable expertise that will support the continued success of the Hilton Madison Monona Terrace and its memorable guest experience.”
Karow joins Marcus Hotels & Resorts after most recently serving as general manager at Hotel Heron, Curio Collection by Hilton, in Alexandria, Va., where he led the hotel’s transition from an independent property to the Curio Collection in four months. Before that, Karow held several general manager and management positions at properties across the United States, including general manager of Art Ovation Hotel, Autograph Collection in Sarasota, Fla.; The Daytona, Autograph Collection in Daytona Beach, Fla.; and Hyatt Centric Old Town in Alexandria, Va.
Hilton Madison Monona Terrace is located on the shores of Lake Monona, one block from the state capitol building and in the center of Madison’s dining, shopping, entertainment, art and theatre districts.
