JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA The 115-key Hilton Garden Inn Jacksonville Downtown Southbank is completely closed due to flooding, and a disgruntled Indianapolis Colts fan is reportedly to blame.
The hometown Jacksonville Jaguars upset the heavily favored Colts on Sunday, after which an angry Colts fan is said to have damaged a stand pipe valve on the fifth floor, causing the hotel to flood, maintenance workers told FirstCoastNews.com.
The hotel was evacuated Monday morning, and the hotel remains closed for business as of Thursday. Nearby Crowne Plaza, Hyatt and Wyndham hotels took in displaced guests.
