Hilton Cleveland Downtown is asking community residents in Cuyahoga County to snap a photo that is “authentically Cleveland” and submit it to be on display when the hotel opens in June 2016.
The hotel is working with hospitality art consulting company Kalisher to create and procure its entire art collection to feature as many custom and commissioned pieces from community members as possible.
“Our goal is for the faces of the Cuyahoga County community to come together to create a photo-mosaic that will be displayed in the lobby of the hotel,” said Teri Agosta, general manager at Hilton Cleveland Downtown. “This is a great opportunity for Cuyahoga County residents to lend their own personal touch to the creative fabric of our hotel design that will enhance its local art collection.”
“Sourcing art locally is important,” said Jesse Kalisher, founder, president and CEO of Kalisher. “The artists in Cuyahoga County understand the story that needs to be told in the hotel. They live and breathe the city and their experiences permeate their creations. There’s no better way for the new Hilton hotel to celebrate Cleveland than to feature folks from Cuyahoga County both in the art and as the artists behind the creations.”
