High Hotels, a subsidiary of High Real Estate Group, has begun construction on a 140-room Tempo by Hilton in Bethlehem, Pa.’s SouthSide Arts District. The project marks the first Tempo by Hilton in the state and expands both the brand and High Hotels’ presence in the Mid-Atlantic.
The hotel is located adjacent to the ArtsQuest Creative Factory, SteelStacks and Lehigh University. It is being developed within a walkable district that supports Bethlehem’s arts and cultural activity. The project reflects ongoing investment in the city as a center for corporate growth, higher education and tourism, supported by an expanding visitor base across the Lehigh Valley.
Tempo by Hilton is positioned for business and leisure travelers. The hotel will include guest rooms, flexible public spaces for working and socializing and a focus on wellness and balance. The property is expected to open in October 2027 and is projected to create more than 50 jobs.
“This project represents an exciting step forward for High Hotels as we continue to grow our portfolio with innovative, experience-driven brands,” said David Aungst, president of High Hotels Ltd. “Bethlehem’s SouthSide Arts District offers the ideal setting for Tempo by Hilton and we’re proud to be part of its continued momentum.”
The development is a fully integrated high-companies project. High Associates leads the land development. Architectural design is by Greenfield Architects. Construction is being handled by High Construction Company, with ownership and operation by High Hotels Ltd.
