GF Management launches hotel asset management division

PHILADELPHIA Hotel owner-operator GF Management announces the formation of a division focused on asset management, consulting and advisory services.

Since its founding in 1988, GF has represented hotel owners, banks and servicing companies on a variety of operational and investment matters. The formation of a dedicated formal asset management division is a response to increased demand for hotel reviews, feasibility studies and ongoing asset management services among core clients, the company says.

GF has tapped Andrew Taymans, vice president of revenue management, to head the new division.

GF recently added Embassy Suites Piscataway, New Jersey, to its roster of ongoing asset management contracts, joining other high-profile assets including Atlanta Airport Marriott and The US Grant in San Diego. In addition to these long-term engagements, GF frequently performs advisory studies for owners, lenders and special servicers to assess distressed properties.

GF, which ranked 90th on the 2010 edition of HOTELS’ 325, is seeking to expand its portfolio of full-service ownership and management assignments through long-term contracts and joint-venture investment opportunities.
