GFI Capital Resources and Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced the completion of a multimillion-dollar renovation and rebrand of Hotel Seville NoMad, part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. The property, formerly The James Hotel NoMad, is located at 22 East 29th Street at Madison Avenue in Manhattan’s NoMad neighborhood.
Originally opened in 1903, the 348-room Beaux-Arts building has been updated with redesigned guest rooms and suites, restored public spaces and new food and beverage programming. Interior design for Il Bar, the new lobby bar, was led by Thomas Juul-Hansen. Scarpetta, the hotel’s Italian restaurant, and The Seville, a speakeasy lounge, are both operated by LDV Hospitality.

Event space includes a 2,400-square-foot ballroom and salon spaces ranging from 420 to 900 square feet, all supported by LDV Hospitality’s culinary program. The hotel’s fitness center features Peloton bikes alongside Precor cardio and strength training equipment.
“Hotel Seville NoMad represents the very best of what New York City hospitality can be, a seamless fusion of historic grandeur and contemporary luxury,” said Allen Gross, chairman and CEO of GFI Capital Resources. “We are thrilled to bring this iconic address back to its rightful prominence as one of the city’s premier destinations.”
Hotel Seville NoMad is situated between the Flatiron District and Midtown, steps from Madison Square Park and Fifth Avenue. The property joins The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, a portfolio of independent hotels.
