And the winner is…
Virtuoso, an international network of luxury travel advisors, agencies and partners, named Faena New York as its “Best New Hotel” at its global awards gala in Las Vegas. The hotel opened less than a year ago on West 18th Street near the city’s High line. The hotel builds off the Argentinian-born brand’s other properties in Miami and Buenos Aires.
Awards are selected by industry peers, Virtuoso travel advisors and network leaders. Virtuoso’s Best New Hotel award category recognizes a hotel that is either newly opened (within the last 12 months) or has re-opened after extensive renovations.
Faena New York was selected from a group of finalists that included Airelles Palladio Venice, Hotel del Coronado, Park Hyatt Tokyo and Waldorf Astoria New York. Three of the finalists—Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, Park Hyatt Tokyo and Waldorf Astoria New York—are not new hotels but recently emerged from extensive, full-property renovations.
“Faena New York was created to bring the spirit of our world to New York, while embracing the energy, culture, and creative force that define this extraordinary city. To receive this recognition so early in its journey is a great honor,” said Alan Faena, founder and president of Faena Group.
In 2024, HOTELS Magazine recognized Faena Miami Beach as the top luxury hotel in Miami. At the end of 2026, Faena Island The Red Sea in Saudi Arabia will become Faena’s first island destination.
Faena is also expanding to Tulum, SĂŁo Paulo, Dubai, Wadi Safar and Miami River.
In June, AFAR chose its top new hotels for 2026, which included Hotel del Coronado. Travel+Leisure revealed its list in April.
