Ex-Hard Rock Vegas CEO to head Palms

LAS VEGAS A former president and CEO of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino has been tapped to head up another Las Vegas resort popular with hard-partying young adults: Palms Casino Resort.

The hiring of Joe Magliarditi comes just days after the departure of former Palms President Paul Pusateri and little more than a week after the Maloof family reached an agreement with TPG Capital and Leonard Green & Partners to refinance the resort’s debt. That deal reduced the Maloof’s equity in the resort to 2%.

Magliarditi will oversee all hotel and casino operations for the 1,300-key resort. He resigned from Hard Rock in March after it went into default and was taken over by Warner Gaming LLC. He has also previously served as chief operating officer of M Resort and as vice president of operations at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.
