BRUSSELS Wolfgang Neumann, the former CEO of Arabella Hospitality Group, has joined The Rezidor Hotel Group as executive vice president and chief operating officer.
He will report directly to Rezidor President and CEO Kurt Ritter. “With Neumann, we welcome an internationally experienced hospitality expert to our team,” Ritter says. “He has the professional knowledge and the spirit to keep our business growing and on top.”
Neumann stepped down from his role with Munich-based Arabella last August, citing differences with parent company Schörghuber Corporate Group over the direction of Arabella after the group dissolved its joint venture with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.
Prior to his role with Arabella, the Austrian spent more than 20 years with Hilton International in various general manager and regional executive roles across Europe, before ascending to the position of president of the Europe and Africa region.

Neumann will be based at Rezidor’s headquarters in Brussels and will serve on the company’s executive committee.
