Dusit grows Thailand footprint with luxury resort in far south

Dusit Hotels and Resorts has expanded its presence in Thailand and has opened its 15th Dusit-branded hotel in the kingdom and its first in the country’s far south. Dusit, the Thailand-based hotel division of Dusit International, has opened Dusit Princess Phatthalung in Phatthalung, an emerging destination in southern Thailand known for its cultural heritage and natural wonders.

The ‘resort in the city’ themed luxury resort features 132 rooms and suites spanning up to 79 square meters. Designed to reflect its natural surroundings, Dusit Princess Phatthalung offers a large swimming pool with an adjoining kid’s pool and open spaces for yoga and Muay Thai classes, nature-inspired activities and events to showcase the handiwork of local artists.

The hotel also has a ballroom that can accommodate up to 300 people.

Paying homage to the region’s cuisine, Dusit Princess Phatthalung features Chi Chiao, a specialty restaurant that celebrates the local cuisine with interpretations of Thai-Chinese street food classics. Guests can also visit Dusit Gourmet, Dusit’s signature restaurant, which serves premium tea and coffee along with freshly baked treats.

Guests staying at the resort can easily access natural wonders like the Thale Noi Bird Sanctuary and Khao Pu-Khao Ya National Park.

Located close to the resort are the Tai Nod Green Market, a weekend retreat with bamboo stalls offering local food items; the daily Train Station Night Market; and the Chalerm Phra Kiat Bridge, the longest bridge in Thailand spanning the Wang Tanot River and offering views of the wetland.

“Alongside welcoming guests with our signature brand of gracious hospitality and wide range of premium facilities, we look forward to positioning the resort as the top choice for unique corporate gatherings and memorable family getaways and actively engaging with the local community to support Phatthalung’s growth and contribute to the overall development of this beautiful destination in the exciting months and years ahead,” said Gilles Cretallaz, COO of Dusit International.
