The Diplomat Beach Resort officially opened as Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort, marking the property’s transition into Hilton’s Signia brand portfolio. The 1,000-room resort, originally opened in 1958, underwent an $80 million transformation of public spaces and dining venues following Trinity Investments’ 2023 acquisition.
The resort features more than 200,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a 50,000-square-foot Great Hall, four ballrooms and 39 breakout rooms. New additions include Club Signia on the 33rd floor, spanning 6,660 square feet of indoor and terrace space, available to guests in premium room categories on floors 32 to 36 and Hilton Honors Diamond Reserve members. The Verandah Social Club, an adults-only outdoor pool and cabana space, is available to both hotel guests and local visitors via ResortPass.
Six dining venues include Palmea Kitchen, The Press, Playa, Solara, Diplomat Prime and a beachfront bar and grill. The property also features The Diplomat Spa + Wellness and 1,000 linear feet of semi-private beach.
“The Diplomat has long been one of South Florida’s most iconic properties, and this transformation marks an important next chapter not just for the hotel but for Hilton’s continued growth in the region,” said Chris Nassetta, president and CEO of Hilton. “As we expand Signia by Hilton in key gateway and resort destinations, this property is a great example of how we’re building on strong foundations to meet what today’s travelers are looking for thoughtful design, standout dining, and unforgettable experiences.”
