TEL AVIV Israel developers are in talks with Hilton Worldwide and the city of Tel Aviv about bringing the luxury Waldorf Astoria brand to the city. It would be Israel’s second Waldorf Astoria, following a property slated to open this year in Jerusalem.
Developer Henry Taic aims to build the hotel on a beachfront site just north of Tel Aviv Hilton Hotel that is currently a parking lot and gas station, YNetNews.com reports. The scope of the Waldor Astoria project has not been finalized.
