Dellshire Resort debuts in Wisconsin Dells with medieval fantasy concept

Dellshire Resort is now open in Wisconsin Dells, marking the destination’s first new-build resort in more than two decades and its first fantasy-themed property. The 208-room resort blends medieval-inspired design with upscale accommodations and experiential programming for families, couples and groups.

Guestrooms and suites range across 11 accommodation types, sleeping up to 13 guests. Amenities include Serpent’s Bay, an indoor-outdoor aquatic complex with five pool and splash experiences and an adults-only swim-up bar; Hero’s Hall, a 9,000-square-foot two-story entertainment hub with arcade games and a private party room; five food and beverage outlets; and 10,875 square feet of meeting and event space.

“Wisconsin Dells has always drawn travelers who are looking for a trip beyond the ordinary, and Dellshire was created with that same spirit in mind,” said Michael Lucero, general manager of Dellshire Resort. “A fire-breathing dragon welcomes people at the entrance, and the immersion only deepens from there. The fantasy world we’ve created goes beyond architecture and lives in programming, rooms, and dining. Guests are not just passing through a themed environment; they are actually participating in it.”

The resort’s signature outdoor installation is Golspar, a 70-foot-long, nearly 17,000-pound steel dragon created by Las Vegas-based sculptor Kevin Stone. A mixed reality experience, Legends of Dellshire, is scheduled to launch in summer 2026.

Dining is led by Culinary Director Justin Draper across five venues, anchored by Blade & Barrel, the resort’s tavern-style restaurant. “We approached the culinary program as an extension of the medieval-inspired experience, grounded in quality and regional influence, but presented in a way that feels playful and unexpected,” Draper said. “Guests can enjoy familiar favorites while discovering new interpretations that feel right at home in this immersive setting.”

Dellshire Resort is located minutes from downtown Wisconsin Dells.
