Connecticut Holiday Inn switches to CoCo Key Water Resort flag

WATERBURY, CONNECTICUT Sage Hospitality Resources has launched its fourth Coco Key Water Resort-branded hotel, dropping the Holiday Inn flag from its property in Waterbury.

The 282-key hotel, formerly Connecticut Grand Hotel and Conference Center until a 2007 renovation, added a 55,000-sq.-ft. CoCo Key waterpark in 2008. Of the 10 CoCo Key waterparks in existence, six of them are add-ons to a differently-flagged hotel.

“The team’s excited about the change and the opportunity to be more prominently affiliated with one of the hospitality industry’s hottest emerging brands,” says William Giraldez, general manager of CoCo Key Water Resort-Hotel & Convention Center, Waterbury. “Our philosophy here is full steam ahead.”

The CoCo Key brand is owned by Denver-based Sage.
