Claridge’s to host ‘Taste of Noma’

To mark the celebrations of the London Olympics 2012 this summer, Claridge’s will offer “A Taste of Noma at Claridge’s” from July 28 to August 6.

René Redzepi, head chef of Noma in Copenhagen, will create a five-course menu at Claridge’s that reflects his signature flavors and dishes from Noma using local, seasonal British ingredients. Redzepi, recently named one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World by Time magazine, focuses on foraging and the reinterpretation of Nordic cuisine at Noma, which was twice voted the best restaurant in the world by the World’s 50 Best Restaurant Awards.

“This unique dining experience will be the first time the legendary chef will create his ground-breaking vision outside Denmark,” said Claridge’s General Manager Thomas Kochs. “The arrival of René and his team marks a true milestone in Claridge’s culinary history, especially during such an exciting time in the capital.”
