Choice Hotels International, Inc. has expanded its Cambria Hotels portfolio, with two openings in October and breaking ground on two more.
Cambria recently opened hotels in Austin, Texas, and Lake Placid, N.Y., which joined its collection of over 60 open properties across the U.S. and a portfolio of eight upscale brands, including the Ascend Hotel Collection, Radisson Blu, Radisson and Radisson Individuals. The two new openings also add to Cambria’s 14% growth this year.
Designed for the modern traveler, Cambria hotels focus on a design inspired by the locales and offer spacious rooms, flexible meeting areas and locally prepared food and craft beer.
Cambria also broke ground on two properties in the Dallas-Fort Worth area — Cambria Hotel Fort Worth and the Cambria Hotel Northlake. These hotels are slated to open in the summer of 2025, joining Cambria’s expanding portfolio of eight Lone Star State properties.

The newly opened hotels are:
- Cambria Hotel Austin Downtown: Located in the downtown area of Austin, the 15-story hotel offers 212 rooms and is located close to the top attractions in the city, such as the Rainey Street Historic District, the Austin Convention Center and the University of Texas at Austin. The property is the third Cambria hotel to open in Austin, joining Cambria Hotel Austin Airport and Cambria Hotel Austin Uptown.
- Cambria Hotel Lake Placid – Lakeside Resort: The three-story lakeside resort has 185 rooms set against the Adirondack Mountains. The hotel’s design is inspired by the seasonal beauty of the area and features views of Lake Placid. The hotel offers access to Lake Placid’s main attractions, such as the Lake Placid Olympic Center and Main Street attractions.
These properties, along with those comprising the entire upscale segment, are connected by Choice’s loyalty program, Choice Privileges. The program allows members to earn and redeem points at more than 7,000 hotels across 46 countries.
Choice Hotels recently appointed Indy Adenaw as senior vice president and general manager of upscale brands to help expand Choice’s portfolio of eight upscale brands.
