SILVER SPRING, MARYLAND Choice Hotels International Inc. added 27 newly-opened franchised properties to its system during March. The openings include hotels in 13 states and two additional countries, adding more than 1,800 guestrooms to the company’s existing 495,000-plus inventory.

- The Hotel Highlands at Five Points South, an Ascend Collection Hotel, Birmingham, Alabama. Within walking distance of Birmingham’s entertainment district, this 63-key boutique hotel caters to business and leisure travelers, offering complimentary breakfast and The H-Bar upscale martini bar.
- Suburban Extended Stay Hotel, Longview, Texas. This extended-stay hotel is located near Longview Regional Medical Center and Good Shepherd Medical Center and features laundry facilities, free WiFi, a seasonal outdoor pool, exercise room, business center, convenience store and picnic areas. Guestrooms offer fully-equipped kitchens with full-sized refrigerators, stovetops, microwaves, coffeemakers, dishes and utensils, and flatscreen TVs.
- Quality Hotel Fallsview Cascade-Niagara Falls, Ontario. Located in the heart of the city, with easy access to the beautiful Horseshoe Falls, this hotel offers free breakfast, free WiFi, heated pool and hot tub, business center, laundry facilities, and adjacent conference center.
