Chedi Muscat wellness venue boasts firsts for Oman

The new 26,910-sq-ft (2,500-sq-m) spa and fitness facility at The Chedi Muscat, set to open next week, will be the largest of its kind in the city and will feature the longest outdoor pool in Oman — the 338-ft (103-m) Long Pool.

The facility also will offer a 4,306-sq-ft (400-sq-m) health club, eight new private spa treatment rooms, separate men’s and women’s steam and sauna areas and a relaxation lounge. Its staff has more than doubled, from 14 to 38. The hotel plans to release a limited number of memberships to those in the local community that will comprise access to all three of the hotel’s pools, its private beach as well as steam and sauna facilities.

“Though The Chedi Muscat was not without a spa before, this entirely new, purpose-built facility is so much more ambitious and expansive that we have to talk about the facility as something entirely new,” said General Manager York Brandes. “This isn’t so much a successor to our former spa as a complete redefinition of the spa, health and fitness experience at The Chedi.”
